After his debut album INFINITE(1996) and the extended play Slim Shady PE (1997), Eminem signed with Dr Dre´s Aftermath Entertainment and subsequently achieved mainstream popularity in 1999 with The Slim Shady LP, which earned him his first Grammy.
He is known for his lyrical conflicts with other artists or even family members like his own mother who sued him for about $10 million for slandering her on The Slim Shady LP, receiving about $1,600 in damages in 2001. He recently made a diss-track on the president of the USA (Donald Trump) where he says that he would start a nuclear holocaust and ehere he calls him a racist.
His last album is called KAMIKAZE, some of the songs in this album are: Not alike, The ringer, Greatest, etc. In this album he makes a comeback from his last one because he was getting a lot of hate of people saying that he got old or that he shoul retire.
He also appears in the movie 8 Mile,a 2002 American drama film written by Scott Silver. The film follows white rapper B-Rabbit (Eminem) and his attempt to launch a career in a genre dominated by African-Americans. The title is derived from8 Mile Road, the highway between the predominantly black city ofDetroit andWayne Country and the predominantly white Oakland Country and Macomb Country. Eminem won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Lose Yourself". Overall 8 Mile was a critical and commercial success.
